About
Seeking a reliable Picker/Packer for our busy facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customers receive their correct items in a timely manner. You will be tasked with accurately locating and retrieving products from warehouse inventory, carefully packing them for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. Attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to workplace safety are crucial. We provide all necessary PPE and expect strict adherence to safety guidelines. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to order fulfillment lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure complete and correct orders.
- Package products securely and appropriately for safe transit, using designated materials.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling, documentation, and staging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following all warehouse protocols.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock replenishment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment quotas.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting, with items typically weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills for efficient workflow.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse safety and a commitment to using PPE.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and logistics principles is beneficial.
