We are hiring an Inventory Control Specialist in Houston, Texas, to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and ensure optimal stock levels. Your expertise will be vital in supporting our logistics operations and contributing to overall warehouse efficiency. Key duties include conducting cycle counts, performing physical inventory audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. You will also be involved in developing and refining inventory management strategies to improve accuracy and reduce waste. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential. Safety is our top priority; you will ensure all inventory-related activities comply with safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE. This position requires excellent analytical skills, a meticulous approach, and the ability to work independently. - Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Monitor stock levels and identify items for reorder or replenishment.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory records in the WMS.
- Oversee the proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
- Adhere to all safety standards and use appropriate PPE during all activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient inventory flow.
