Our Detroit, Michigan location is looking for energetic and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our warehouse inventory based on customer orders and then efficiently packing them for shipment. This is a crucial position that directly impacts customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order slips and scanning equipment.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Verify that all items are included in the shipment and that quantities are correct.
- Label packages accurately for shipping carriers.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Follow all company safety policies, including the use of PPE and proper lifting techniques.
- Meet or exceed daily picking and packing performance targets.
- Report any stock discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order information.
- Skilled in using RF scanners and basic computer applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Understanding of safety procedures, including PPE and safe lifting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
