- Identify, design, and install energy efficiency measures aimed at reducing the utility costs, utility consumption, and carbon footprint of their commercial facilities.
- Address indoor air quality issues.

- Identify and correct electrical system issues using technologies like thermal imaging.
- Construct and maintain LEED rated buildings.
- Operate and manage energy efficient buildings through ongoing energy efficiency and sustainability services such as retro-commissioning, energy audits, proper maintenance, Energy Star ratings, lighting retrofits, & BAS optimization
About the position:
The Inside Sales Representative provides support to HVAC Technicians, emergency dispatch and the service projects sales team. This person will work across these divisions to prepare proposals and project estimates for building mechanical systems (HVAC, Controls and, "like-for-like" unit replacements 7.5 tons or less). Works with suppliers and/or vendors as required to secure competitive pricing on parts/equipment. Interprets scope in collaboration with Project Service Representatives and other relevant groups to finalize the scope, cost estimates, overall value proposition, and final written deliverable. Project sizes can range up to $50,000. This position will report to the Director of Business Development.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop value-based turnkey proposals for system replacements (like-for-like 7.5 tons or less) on buildings in various vertical markets such as k-12, higher education, healthcare, public sector, churches, recreation and hospitality (country clubs & hotels), commercial and/or industrial.
- Tech uses XOI workflow to gather needed info and relay to Inside Sales to perform estimating and project development tasks with no design or engineering required.
- Based on a finalized scope, prepares cost estimates consisting of materials, sub-contractors, purchased equipment, and labor.
- Negotiate as required with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers as required to form relationships and/or teaming agreements when external support, material, or contracted expertise is required.
- Leverages good communication skills along with strong technical knowledge to build credibility and trust with customers, service project representatives.
- Service Project Bookings/Orders and Activity/Revenue.
- Win/Loss Ratio - on projects developed & submitted.
- Inside sales representative will work closely with our quote writer(s) on large emergency spot repair work, offering technical assistance as needed.
Qualifications preferred for job candidates:
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, sufficient to enable accurate scope and cost estimate development. Estimating and/or project development experience is desired.
- Must be familiar with RTU, split, mini-split, ductwork, VAV, exhaust system, boiler, chiller, and cooling tower systems/technologies.
- Experience working in and/or for facilities in the K-12, higher education, healthcare, public sector, commercial and/or industrial sector is desired.
- Must be good at multi-tasking and working collaboratively with multiple project representatives across multiple opportunities.
- Project cost accounting, estimating, and project management experience is encouraged.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Must be able to effectively translate thoughts, approaches, and field gathered data into concise, effective, well organized, and compelling written content and project scopes.
- Must be very effective at working cross boundary and with multiple groups to gain support and content needed while minimizing the resource commitment and/or impact to these same resources/groups.
