Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director, Design, the Design Coordinator will administrate the Airport Improvement Request (AIR) submittal process, including intake of process forms, running reviews, compiling review comments, responding to submittals, plan reviews, coordinating site visits and design collaboration, and performing coordination of AIR submittal activities. The Design Coordinator will perform project coordination for assigned architectural and civil construction projects from time to time as workload allows.

Hourly Pay Range: $ $47.98

Essential Job Duties:
- Assists the Project Manager (PM)/Construction Manager (CM) in maintaining project files for all required administrative items.
- Assists the PM/CM to coordinate between designers, contractors and other stakeholders, including scheduling meetings, developing meeting agenda and minutes, and following up on action items.
- Coordinates with end-users to ensure required functions of projects are accurate.
- Primary point of contact with tenants and the AIR review process.
- Tracks and distributes all AIR submittals and maintains AIR Database.
- Maintains updates to AIR manual and design and construction guidelines.
- Performs preliminary reviews of projects, including adherence to AIR design and construction guidelines.
- Provides information and responses to inquiries from contractors, tenants, MNAA departments, consultants, and other regulatory agencies.
- Capital Improvement project sheets, data collection, management, and tracking, and other related project coordination items
- Assists with recommendations and suggestions on design related problems.
- Review and be familiar with project plan drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with reviewers to ensure all reviews are completed on time
- Coordinates discipline specific reviews (architectural, civil, etc) for all AIR submittals.
- Reports, maintains, and updates project reporting and database throughout tenant project and project closeout.
- Coordination of daily aspects of the project with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provides information and responses to inquiries from contractors, tenants, MNAA departments, consultants, and other regulatory agencies.
- Provides recommendations and suggestions on project-related problems.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5-10 years engineering, architectural, construction, or project controls experience.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction technology/management or Master's level degree.
- 10 years of engineering, architectural or construction experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
