Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Math Teacher to join our educational team at Webster County High School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This full-time position involves teaching various math courses, engaging students in critical thinking, and preparing them for academic success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
  • Teach a variety of math subjects, including Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus, to students in grades 9-12.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for mathematics.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and enhance student learning experiences.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and classroom activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education.
  • Supervise and mentor students during extracurricular activities, such as math clubs or competitions, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for secondary education.
  • Proven experience teaching mathematics at the high school level.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and foster a positive classroom environment.
  • Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and development in the field of education.
