This role will be positioned at Prime Group's 1.5 million sf commercial real estate complex located in Salem, MA. Working as part of the property's maintenance dept., this role will report directly to the Director of Maintenance and Facilities and will be responsible for contributing to the successful operation of all maintenance and facilities operations, including tenant service requests, for Prime Group's campus style complex.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently. Must be able to recognize potential issues and take appropriate action. Be able to troubleshoot and/or have ability to problem solve to successfully complete tasks.
General Responsibilities and Duties:
- Performs minor electrical maintenance.
- Performs minor plumbing maintenance.
- Performs general construction such as demolition, painting, carpentry in connection with smaller tenant improvement projects, or general maintenance of property.
- Performs janitorial maintenance which may include cleaning rooms, common hallways, common restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, parking lots and other work areas, as well as trash removal throughout the property.
- Performs grounds work / landscaping.
- Snow removal.
- Assist with third party vendor access and coordination.
- May be required to respond to emergency maintenance situations.
- May be required to be on call after-hours for emergency or snow removal efforts.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- Follows all safety and OSHA related policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and have a "can-do" attitude.
- Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards.
- Ability to use common tools.
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, use sound judgement and effectively management time and job responsibilities
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- VALID DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED.
- Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM.
