Digital Press Apprentice

Reports to: Digital Print Manager FLSA Status: Hourly

Position Summary

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Digital Print Department as Digital Press Apprentices. This role provides hands-on training to develop future Digital Press Operators while supporting the production of high-quality printed products.

We are currently hiring Digital Press Apprentices for 2nd & 3rd shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with operating digital presses in a safe, accurate, and productive manner

• Learn press setup, job execution, and production workflows under supervision

• Perform daily operator-level maintenance and press checks as trained

• Load and unload various media and finished materials (up to 50 lbs.)

• Inspect printed output for basic quality standards, including color and registration

• Complete required documentation related to time, materials, and quality control

• Support job flow to the next stage of production and maintain a clean work area

Basic Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

• High school diploma or GED required

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

• Willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures

• Strong attention to detail and quality expectations

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

• Availability and willingness to work overtime as needed

What Will Put You Ahead

• Strong mechanical, technical, or computer aptitude

• Interest in printing, graphics, or manufacturing environments

• Prior experience in production, manufacturing, or equipment operation

• Comfort working with digital files, job tickets, or production systems

• Desire to grow into a Digital Press Operator role
