Job Description We are seeking a junior Database Administrator (DBA) primarily focused on Microsoft SQL Server environments, both on-premises and Azure cloud . The ideal candidate will manage, optimize, and secure our SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and performance. Knowledge of Databricks/Vertica is a plus but not mandatory. Knowledge or working experience with any Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool like terraform is a plus.
* Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-prem and Azure environments. * Monitor database performance, conduct tuning, and troubleshoot issues proactively. * Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans. * Ensure database security and compliance with company policies. * Support database deployments, upgrades, and migrations (SQL and Databricks) * Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database-related processes. * Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts. * Maintain database documentation and operational procedures. * Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning efforts. * Automating DBA tasks using scripting or tools
