The Application Engineer will collaborate with large?scale manufacturers to evaluate tooling performance, identify issues, and implement solutions that enhance production efficiency. Success in this role requires technical acumen, problem?solving ability, and strong communication skills to work effectively with vendors, engineers, and production teams. Key Responsibilities
Recommend and optimize tools based on application needs and machining parameters Troubleshoot tool life and performance challenges, recommending corrective actions Analyze customer data to suggest improvements or new tool designs Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to manage tooling processes and resolve production issues Lead initiatives for tool life improvements, quality enhancements, and productivity gains Support all tooling, process, and manufacturing engineers during production meetings Track tool efficiency and provide status updates for ongoing projects Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent understanding in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering Minimum 2 years of hands?on experience with cutting tools, metalworking, and process design Expertise in various milling cutting tools (indexable, solid carbide, etc.) Strong understanding of materials, surface finishes, and treatments Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and blueprint reading 2+ years of experience with CNC machinery and tooling Benefits
