Network Engineer
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline, e.g., IT Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with emphasis on Networking and Telecommunications or related technical area required Security + certification or equivalent 8570 IAT II certification (within six months of hire) 5 years of professional experience testing or troubleshooting IP networks Required: IP network lab testing IP network troubleshooting Cisco router/switch configuration and troubleshooting Juniper router/switch configuration and troubleshooting Routing with Intermediate System Intermediate System (IS-IS) and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) MPLS Virtual Private Networks (VPN) MPLS Traffic Engineering (MPLS-TE) Desired: Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) Large scale IP networking environments, preferably within the DoD Network Management Ability to work along with no or little assistance to complete equipment testing. Ability to work in a group to achieve the common goal to resolve complex network issues. Ability to work directly with the prime contractor project team. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to collaborate test plans and reports with Government and equipment vendors. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft office suite to include Word, Excel, and Visio technical drawing program.
