The Teams As an Analytics Engineering Intern, you will be seamlessly integrated within teams that create tools and services vital for scaling the Netflix application platform across a vast device ecosystem. Your work will drive innovation and value on screen, ensuring exceptional quality, assessing device health, and enhancing operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to derive actionable insights from data, improving metric fidelity, enabling data collection, and developing data products and intelligence systems. Who Are You? You are an inquisitive, collaborative, and resourceful student excited to learn alongside experienced engineers. Your enthusiasm for solving complex problems drives you towards data-driven solutions. Must-Haves Currently enrolled in a full-time accredited program (M.S., or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field, graduating in December 2026, Summer 2027, or later. Hands-on experience in data analysis. Proficient in the standard data science tech stack. Experience with distributed systems for large-scale data processing. Strong SQL skills. Proficient in Python or Java. Experience building intuitive schemas and data models. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Nice-to-Haves Experience with statistical inference and machine learning models to generate actionable insights. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Plotly, Matplotlib). Aptitude for conveying complex data insights to diverse stakeholders. A positive attitude, open to candid feedback. A curiosity that embraces ambiguity as an opportunity to explore. Interest in security and complex problem domains. What You'll Do As an Analytics Engineering Intern, you will take the lead on an end-to-end analytics project or tool. Your main responsibilities will include: Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines to manage large and intricate datasets from various sources. Establishing foundational data models and pushing for the productization of the final analytical tool. Analyzing request patterns, identifying new signals, detecting anomalies, and suggesting improvements based on quantified impact. Creating compelling data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau to help stakeholders understand and act on data. Collaborating with engineers throughout the development process to receive feedback and refine designs. Communicating key insights and developing dashboards to share findings with stakeholders across the organization.
