Summit K12 is seeking an Instructional Support Specialist dedicated exclusively to supporting Clark County School District (CCSD) in Nevada. This role is designed to provide consistent, high-impact professional development, coaching, and implementation support for educators and leaders implementing Summit K12 Connect to Literacy across the district.
The ideal candidate brings experience in teaching, instructional coaching, and/or school leadership and has a strong, research-based understanding of language development and instruction for multilingual learners. This specialist will work in close partnership with CCSD district leaders, site administrators, and teachers to deliver job-embedded, role-specific professional learning through a combination of on-site and virtual support.
The primary goal of this position is to build district capacity, support effective and sustained implementation of evidence-based instructional practices, and ensure that Connect to Literacy is leveraged as an instructional tool that improves outcomes for English learners across content areas.
LOCATION: Clark County, Nevada. The candidate must be based in Clark County. NV or surrounding area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Professional Development Delivery:
- Plan, organize, and facilitate high-quality, on-site and online professional development for CCSD teachers, instructional staff, and school leaders aligned to Summit K12 Connect to Literacy.
2. Implementation Success:
- Support successful implementation by coaching educators and leaders to apply evidence-based instructional practices aligned to district goals and Summit K12 solutions.
3. District-Aligned Solution Expertise:
- Develop deep expertise in Summit K12 Connect to Literacy and support CCSD educators in using the platform as an instructional, data-informed language development tool.
4. Data Utilization and Instructional Support:
- Analyze and interpret platform and student data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement
- Support CCSD leaders and educators in using data dashboards to inform instructional decisions
- Provide actionable insights to guide instructional planning and implementation
5. Organization and Flexibility:
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to evolving district needs, priorities, and schedules.
6. Continuous Learning:
- Engage in ongoing professional learning to remain current with research-based practices in language development, multilingual education, and adult learning.
7. Coaching and Support:
- Provide LMS navigation support, demonstration lessons, targeted coaching, and leadership planning sessions aligned to CCSD needs.
8. Reflection and Improvement:
- Seek and apply feedback from district partners to refine professional learning, coaching, and support strategies.
9. Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with Summit K12 colleagues and CCSD partners to ensure coherence, quality, and alignment of professional learning and instructional supports.
10. Equity-Focused Practice:
- Promote equitable instructional practices by supporting educators in delivering linguistically responsive, inclusive instruction for multilingual learners.
TRAVEL: Willingness to travel within Clark County School District to support on-site professional development and coaching.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated passion for multilingualism and strong understanding of English Learners
- Deep knowledge of best practices for supporting multilingual learners
- Minimum of 5 years of K–12 teaching experience with experience delivering coaching and professional development
- Ability to analyze data and apply insights to instructional practice
- Experience supporting educators through both in-person and virtual professional learning
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google productivity tools
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
ADVANCED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of K–12 teaching, coaching, or leadership experience
- Master's or advanced degree in education or related field
- Experience collaborating with district and school leaders on professional learning planning
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and facilitation
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and responding to real-time instructional and implementation needs

Equipment: This position requires reliable home internet that can support video calls on Google Meet and Zoom and a quiet, professional place to deliver remote professional development.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be willing to travel:
Travel is required and considered an essential function of the job. Travel includes overnight stays at hotels and transportation via car, plane, and/or public transportation. Driving in small and large cities is required. All travel-related expenses for professional development delivery are initially paid in advance by the Instructional Coach (eg, lodging, daily meals). Reimbursements for these expenses - including mileage if driving your own car and compensation for time traveling - will be processed 2–3 weeks following submission of the expense reimbursement requests.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually

Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, your experience, skills, and qualifications.
