Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are a small company looking for a clean cut non-smoking driver with at least 2 years experience with CDL, Equal Opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers and dry vans As a key player in our logistics network, you will ensure timely deliveries, proper load handling, and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly while providing excellent service to our customers.

Duties

• Safely operate a variety of trucks such as manual transmission tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
• Follow planned routes accurately while adapting to route changes or delays proactively
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in accordance with federal and state regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery schedules and address any issues promptly

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a focus on route driving and freight delivery
• Hands-on experience operating different types of trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers and dry vans.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and the ability to operate them safely and efficiently
• Prior delivery driver experience emphasizing load & unload procedures and route management
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling and vehicle operation
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with relevant endorsements for specific vehicle types (e.g., tanker endorsement)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $0.50 - $0.55 per mile
