You have helped teams increase their speed and safety through improved tooling and engineering practices. You have a proactive approach and the ability to drive the adoption of performance engineering as an essential discipline. Responsibilities Define the technical, product, operational, and organizational strategies for the Cloud Performance initiative.
Lead a diverse team of engineers focused on performance measurement, optimization, and tooling.
Establish a robust performance engineering culture across multiple OCI service teams.
Direct the architecture and methodologies for load testing, performance benchmarking, and optimization at cloud scale.
Oversee the development of shared performance engineering tools like load generators, measurement agents, and analysis platforms.
Collaborate with OCI service teams to incorporate performance best practices into their software development life cycle (SDLC).
Effectively communicate with stakeholders, ranging from engineering teams to executive audiences.
Mentor and cultivate the next generation of technical leaders in performance engineering.
Drive measurable enhancements in service throughput, latency, and overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness across OCI.
Qualifications: At least 3 years in a senior management or senior technical leadership role.
Minimum of 5 years in large-scale distributed systems, cloud services, or performance engineering.
BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Proven success in leading cross-organizational technical initiatives with measurable business impact.
In-depth understanding of cloud performance concepts such as latency, throughput, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Experience with performance benchmarking and optimization tools and methodologies.
Strong distributed systems architecture and design capabilities.
Familiarity with core cloud infrastructure components like compute, storage, and networking, along with their performance characteristics.
Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and people management abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The hiring range for this role is $107,100 to $251,600 per annum, with potential eligibility for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
