Job Description Here’s what you’ll do:
Deliver: Undertake OLE design duties for OLE Schemes and produce technical designs, layout plans, cross sections, isolation diagrams, bonding designs, and supporting reports.
Provide Expertise: Develop OLE designs through all project stages, ensuring compliance with current design standards, constructability, and Safe by Design principles.
Collaborate: Communicate effectively with design, construction disciplines, and sub‑contractors.
Ensure Quality: Respond to design queries during construction and attend site meetings as required.
Qualifications
BSc, BEng or MEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Chartered Engineer (or working towards) and member of a professional institution.
Comprehensive knowledge of OLEMI and other OLE ranges (UKMS, Series‑1, Series‑2, Mk3B, GEFF, Mk1, SICAT, SNCF, UK1).
Familiar with isolation diagram updates.
Understanding of earthing & bonding for electrification.
Proficient in Bentley MicroStation CAD software.
Excellent communications and organization skills.
Understanding of CSM‑RA & Health and Safety, including CDM experience of managing teams.
