About
You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising WordPress websites, working closely with designers, other developers, and customers. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing their own workload, communicating directly with clients, and meeting project deadlines within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain WordPress websites using *Elementor* (essential).
* Jump directly into existing projects and complete work to a high standard.
* Ensure all websites are responsive, performant, secure, and user-friendly across all devices.
* Communicate directly with customers via phone and email to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve queries.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are maintained.
* Work collaboratively with other developers and designers to deliver cohesive, high-quality solutions.
* Implement on-page SEO best practices during builds.
* Test, debug, and refine websites prior to handover.
* Use *Microsoft 365* tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) for communication, collaboration, and file management.
* Maintain clear project documentation and updates using project management tools.
Essential Requirements
* Proven commercial experience as a *WordPress Developer*.
* *Strong, hands-on experience with Elementor* (this role requires immediate productivity).
* Experience finishing websites to a *high visual and technical standard*.
* Comfortable speaking directly with customers and explaining technical concepts clearly.
* Strong *project management skills*, with the ability to manage deadlines and workload effectively.
* Experience working collaboratively within a development team.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with SEO-focused builds and performance optimisation.
* Familiarity with UX/UI best practices.
