Dishwasher/Prep Cook

This job requires a diligent worker who is flexible, and wants to provide great customer service We are an independent, locally owned family restaurant serving great food in a casual atmosphere in Brenham, Texas. This position requires an individual who likes working with a team in a positive and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients as directed.
• Support cooking staff by ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available.
• Follow food safety guidelines for handling and storing food items.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely meal service.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or kitchen environment
• Strong food handling and service skills
• Familiarity with culinary techniques and knife skills
• Experience in meal preparation and catering services
• Knowledge of dietary department practices and menu planning is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting and collaborate with team members
