Software Developer

Rate: $70/hr. on 1099

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our Classified Systems team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain secure web and desktop applications that support critical operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Develop and maintain web and desktop applications using C# and VB.NET, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• Data Management: Manage data storage and retrieval using SQL Server, with a strong focus on secure data handling practices.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit and integration tests, perform code reviews, debug issues, and uphold application reliability.
• Agile/SDLC Participation: Actively engage in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and sprint planning; maintain clear and comprehensive documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support & Maintenance: Provide post-production support by troubleshooting issues promptly and maintaining system integrity.

Essential Skills

• Programming Languages: Proficient in C# and VB.NET.
• Frameworks: Experience with ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core.
• Databases: Strong knowledge of SQL Server.
• Development Tools: Skilled in Visual Studio and Git version control.
• Methodologies: Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience working with Azure and AWS environments.
• Front-End Technologies: Competent in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as Angular or React for full-stack development.

Typical Job Requirements

• Must hold a current Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Proven experience in the software development lifecycle.
• Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with excellent analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate within a team environment.
