Position: Controller

Location: Bradenton, FL (On-Site)

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Position Overview: The Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting activities for a rapidly growing manufacturing company with a global presence. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while building scalable processes, strong internal controls, and cost visibility to support continued growth. The Controller will partner closely with operations and executive leadership to drive financial discipline, improve profitability, and support strategic decision-making across domestic and international operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting, including support for international entities as applicable.
  • Ensure accurate inventory controls, cycle counts, and reconciliation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing clear financial insights into operational performance.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes for a growing, multi-entity organization.
  • Develop financial models, KPIs, and management reporting to support business planning and growth initiatives.
  • Analyze financial results and communicate performance, trends, and risks to leadership.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies to support growth and global operations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulatory requirements.
  • Improve and scale financial processes, systems, and controls as the company grows.
  • Support risk management, insurance, and internal audit activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or international operations.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • CPA or CMA certification.
  • Experience in a rapidly growing or scaling organization.
  • Familiarity with global accounting considerations such as foreign currency, intercompany transactions, and consolidation.
