Job Overview
We are seeking an organized and self-motivated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our warehouse. The ideal candidate would possess strong organizational and computer skills, as well as being detail oriented and committed to optimizing warehouse processes. This person will be responsible for ensuring efficient receiving, storage, and distribution of goods for various departments across Ottawa Tribal Enterprises.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory accuracy.
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distribution of products.
- Manage inventory levels through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols for and within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA or relevant regulations.
- Monitor and improve operational efficiency by implementing process improvements, optimizing layout, and reducing errors in order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., procurement, retail management, and customer service) to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
- Maintain records for accounting and audit.
- Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse performance, inventory status, and key metrics.
- Handle employee relations, including resolving conflicts, addressing grievances, and promoting a cooperative environment.
- Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Delegate and assign tasks as needed to support staff.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Warehouse operations and supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and Microsoft Office.
- Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to delegate effectively and motivate a team.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as required.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
This is a full-time position offering competitive salary and benefits. The successful candidate will work directly with management and add to the overall success of our operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35, $54,341.76 per year
