We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload merchandise from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack merchandise in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure accuracy of stock.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in all areas of operation.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Coordinate with other warehouse personnel to ensure timely movement of goods.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet operational demands.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE and adhering to all safety regulations.
