You will work closely with our inventory management systems and contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve specific items from warehouse shelves based on order slips or scanner readings.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Select appropriate packing materials and packaging methods to ensure product safety during transit.
- Accurately pack orders, ensuring all items are included and correctly assembled.
- Apply shipping labels and other required documentation to packages.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Meet or exceed picking and packing productivity targets.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Capacity for frequent lifting of items up to 35 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Team player with good communication skills.
