About
Become a crucial member of our logistics team as an Order Picker in Houston, Texas. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately select and retrieve products from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail to ensure that orders are processed correctly and promptly. You will utilize handheld scanners and other warehouse technology to locate items and record picks. The job involves extensive walking, standing, bending, and reaching throughout the warehouse. Significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds, will be required. Maintaining a strong commitment to Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to strictly adhere to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will work collaboratively with other warehouse associates and supervisors to achieve daily picking targets and contribute to the overall smooth operation of our logistics center. Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order tickets or scanner prompts.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items and quantities against order requirements.
- Operate handheld scanners and other picking equipment efficiently.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity goals for order picking.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform frequent and substantial Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good stamina and ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
