Are you a detail-oriented professional seeking a challenging role? We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Specialist in Des Moines, Iowa. This position is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, a cornerstone of efficient logistics. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to ensure optimal inventory accuracy. Your work will directly impact our ability to fulfill orders accurately and on time. We foster a secure and professional work environment. Key duties involve:
- Performing regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Identifying and reporting slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Implementing and enforcing inventory control procedures.
- Ensuring proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage and loss.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Understanding and adhering to all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assisting with receiving and put-away processes as needed, which may involve lifting up to 40 pounds.
