About
Norwood Medical is seeking an experienced, hands-on Network Administrator / Engineer to support, secure, and continuously improve our enterprise network, infrastructure systems, and cloud environment. This role blends technical depth, operational excellence, and a strong security mindset to ensure reliable and secure operations across our manufacturing and corporate environments.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and infrastructure components-while contributing to cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and documentation efforts across the IT landscape.
In this role you will:
Network & Infrastructure Management
• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including hardware, software, external connectivity, and security.
• Configure and manage network components such as switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform upgrades as needed.
• Maintain IP-based phone systems and ensure reliable telephone connectivity.
• Implement and troubleshoot connectivity using switching, routing, VLANs, wireless, and VOIP.
IT Systems & Security
• Manage cloud infrastructure including hosted solutions, servers, applications, and security.
• Evaluate and install software releases, patches, and system upgrades.
• Manage domain name systems and certificate solutions.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect digital assets.
• Support vulnerability scanning tools, perform assessments, and coordinate remediation activities.
• Serve as the point of contact for information security incidents and compliance.
Backup, Recovery & Continuity
• Maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories.
• Coordinate and perform backup & recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and environment documentation.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3-5+ years of progressive experience in network administration or network engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco networking, routing, Palo Alto firewalls, and security administration.
• Experience with Windows/Linux server administration and cloud platforms.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or CompTIA Security+ are strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
