THE ROLE
This is a hands-on Lead Data Engineer role owning data engineering end-to-end. You will build and scale the core data pipelines that power the company's platform, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and production-ready. The role is well-suited for someone who enjoys building from scratch and taking accountability for data quality and scalability.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Own data engineering across the platform, from ingestion through transformation and delivery Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, Spark, SQL, and modern cloud tools Ensure high standards of data quality, testing, and QA, continuously improving reliability Partner with product and engineering teams to support analytics, reporting, and customer-facing use cases Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, and maintainability Own projects end-to-end, from design and implementation through long-term support Help shape data architecture and best practices as the engineering organization grows SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
5-7 years of hands-on data engineering experience building and owning production pipelines end-to-end Strong Python and SQL skills; Spark and Databricks experience a plus Deep understanding of data quality, testing, and operational excellence Experience in fast-paced startups or growth-stage companies, comfortable taking ownership Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms and distributed processing tools BENEFITS
