What You’ll Be DoingAs a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our systems engineering processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing IV&V infrastructure and workflows to support the full V-model lifecycle.
- Setting up and delivering left-hand-side V-model processes, ensuring robust design, integration, and configuration.
- Supporting system and product integration activities, resolving cross-discipline conflicts, and meeting contractual requirements.
- Defining and assuring V&V activities and outputs, providing evidence to substantiate design across the lifecycle.
- Driving cross-engineering collaboration and assurance, working closely with systems engineering teams to coordinate integration delivery.
Essential:
- Experience with the installation, configuration, and testing of Category 3 systems and equipment.
- Hands-on involvement in testing and trial activities, including preparation, execution, and review.
- Strong fault investigation and resolution skills within multi-faceted systems.
- HNC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience in a similar environment.
Desirable:
- Background in defence, naval, or IT environments.
- Experience in commissioning activities, particularly within advanced or safety-critical systems.

The SSNA – Platform Complex Systems TeamThe Platform Complex Systems (PCS) team is at the heart of the SSNA programme, responsible for establishing IV&V infrastructure and supporting system integration across the full lifecycle. You will work closely with stakeholders to resolve engineering challenges and ensure major systems are well-defined and integrated. This is a fantastic opportunity for growth, cross-programme exposure, and support toward chartership while contributing directly to the delivery of complex platform systems.
