Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to transform research code into production-ready services and repeatable processes.
Configure and manage essential cloud resources within OCI including IAM policies, VCNs, access rules, logging, and monitoring.
Design, develop, and oversee CI/CD pipelines for R and Python applications utilizing OCI DevOps, Git-based workflows, and Artifact Registry.
Containerize workloads with tools like Docker or Build Service, ensuring reproducible deployment patterns.
Set up and manage static web hosting using OCI Object Storage, CDN, and DNS configuration.
Bring hands-on cloud experience (preferably with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure but familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP is acceptable).
Take ownership of the full design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced data pipelines and platforms, from requirements gathering to production delivery.
Architect, build, and optimize large-scale, reliable, and secure data workflows on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, employing services like OCI Data Flow, Data Integration, and Autonomous Data Warehouse.
Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure your solutions are scalable and efficient.
Lead the exploration and integration of new Oracle cloud-native technologies, driving continuous process improvements.
Ensure adherence to Oracle's security, privacy, and data management protocols while proactively identifying risks.
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
Prepare and present technical proposals and optimization recommendations to both technical and business leaders.
Transform business needs into effective solutions.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing for improved technical understanding within the organization.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
5+ years of data engineering experience with a proven record of designing and delivering large-scale data platforms in cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Database, and Oracle Data Integration tools.
Extensive experience in data modeling, warehousing, ETL/ELT design patterns, and constructing production-grade data solutions using Oracle products.
In-depth understanding of data security, privacy, and best practices for regulated enterprises.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a history of cross-team collaboration.
Experience in mentoring or supervising best practices in data engineering.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in managing migration projects or developing greenfield data platforms on OCI.
Knowledge of Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Machine Learning, and DevOps practices for data workloads.
Professional Oracle certifications in cloud data management or related areas.

The role typically has a hiring range from $96,800 to $223,400 per annum, and candidates may be eligible for bonuses and equity.
