Job Purpose and Overview The role of Network Engineer III is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services across Global Dawn, working with other engineers, vendors, and various IT Teams. This is achieved by planning and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization and in the cloud. The Network Engineer will lead the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user training where required. Shift & Schedule:
The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position includes participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours support, and occasional evening or weekend work may be required to accommodate system upgrades and maintenance outside of normal business hours. Work Eligibility & Travel Requirements:
This is a hybrid position that requires a minimum of 1 day per week on-site at the Home Office in Jackson, Michigan, with additional on-site days as needed based on project requirements. The role also involves approximately 10% travel. What will you do as a Network Engineer III at Dawn Foods? Key responsibility: Cloud Networking:
Design and implement networking solutions in hyperscalers such as Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Skill utilizing Terraform and Palo firewalls in these cloud environments is a benefit.
Additional areas of responsibility to be assigned based on experience include: Firewall Management:
Engineer and manage Palo Alto firewalls across datacenters, branch offices, and hyperscaler deployments. Wireless Infrastructure:
Manage Cisco Catalyst wireless networks integrated with Cisco ISE. VPN Solutions:
Engineer and maintain VPN solutions using Cisco AnyConnect, Cisco ISE, and Palo Alto Firewalls. SD-WAN:
Manage Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN with a multi-regional implementation. General Routing and Switching:
Support and manage Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches. Support BGP routing throughout environment.
General Duties Oversee global deployment of routers, switches, access points, firewalls, and UPS devices. Engineer network solutions with a strong emphasis on security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and scalable network solutions. Support patching, monitoring, and alerting Dawn's network infrastructure. Perform other related duties as assigned.
What Does It Take to be a Network Engineer IIIat Dawn Foods? Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job. A high school diploma or GED is required A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of hands-on technical experience implementing global enterprise networks. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of progressively relevant work experience may be considered. Technical Expertise:
Proven experience with LAN/WAN infrastructure, wireless networking, cloud networking, and firewall technologies. Certifications:
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certifications are preferred. Communication Skills:
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the user community, translate technical concepts into layman's terms, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to lift and install networking equipment, such as switches or routers, weighing approximately 15-20 pounds, into standard network racks. Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 25 pounds. Ability to participate in virtual meetings and in-person collaboration as needed.
