THE ROLE The successful candidate will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge hardware and software quality solutions for designing, inspecting, and qualifying robotic facilities, striving for minimal human interference. You will: Provide strategic technical direction to senior leadership. Contribute to product roadmaps and oversee vital technical deliverables. Mentor engineers and lead code reviews. Uphold our high standards of innovation. You will collaborate with: Diverse teams including design engineers, developers, and mechanical engineers. A network of external innovation partners. Stakeholders involved in product definition, execution, and testing processes. Key Responsibilities Offer expert strategic guidance on AI/ML systems, autonomous robotics, and quality automation solutions. Define and communicate integration and evaluation strategies for physical AI across global fulfillment centers. Contribute to product roadmaps and lead cross-functional execution priorities. Evaluate tradeoffs among design alternatives regarding performance, schedule, cost, risk, complexity, and scalability. Design and create test systems for validating AI-powered design tools, digital twin generation, and automated workflow systems. Lead code reviews and maintain exceptional technical documentation. Partner with design engineers to ensure testing and quality during development. Develop and implement test strategies for designing, inspecting, and qualifying tools. Generate status and build reports for leadership review. Mentor engineers and share best practices across multi-disciplinary teams. About the Team Joining the Engineering Quality Management team within Design Engineering means you will tackle challenging problems and develop AI-powered solutions that redefine how facilities are designed, constructed, tested, and optimized for operations. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Proficient in infrastructure automation through software development lifecycle in an API-enabled environment, including agile development, software architecture, and modern cloud services. Skilled in various modern programming languages (Rust, Java, C/C++) and knowledgeable about the Linux operating system. Experienced in professional software engineering and best practices covering the full software development life cycle. Minimum 10 years of software development experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline. At least 5 years of integration, testing, and automation experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent; PhD is a plus. Experience in developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems based on design intent and approved equipment submissions. Proficient in developing and delivering product and technical roadmaps. Experienced in collaborating and influencing senior-level stakeholders. Prior experience in programmatically testing products, tracking test coverage, and enhancing test automation and diagnostics. The base pay for this role ranges from $170,900 to $279,900 per year depending on geographic location, knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will remain open until filled.
