Applications will be accepted until 02/09/2026. We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to guide our Mobile Developer Experience team at Slack. This vital team focuses on tooling for Android and iOS platforms, empowering mobile engineers throughout the organization to develop new features efficiently and confidently. You will not only drive the growth and output of the mobile Developer Experience team but also collaborate across the company to enhance tooling and infrastructure practices. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of engineers focused on crafting an exceptional developer experience and tooling for Slack's mobile applications. Oversee the career development of team members. Establish team objectives and technical direction, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals. Represent Slack Internal Tools engineering, effectively communicating mobile tooling features and metrics to various stakeholders. Responsible for the engineering hiring process for the team, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates. Build a diverse and inclusive team while fostering collaboration. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience managing teams dedicated to enhancing the developer experience for mobile developers. Prior management experience with iOS or Android teams. Familiarity with technologies such as Bazel, Swift, Kotlin, Gradle, and Buildkite is preferred. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Adept at balancing conflicting requirements and making decisions swiftly. Excellent communication skills to represent your team to varied internal and external audiences.
