Job Summary As a Senior DevOps Engineer with SHI, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Collaborating closely with development, operations, and security teams, you will ensure smooth integration and delivery of our applications. We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with significant experience in Azure Cloud, Docker, and containerization technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in software engineering, as well as expertise in GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting skills in Groovy, Python, PowerShell, and Shell Scripting. Your responsibilities will include deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations to satisfy stakeholders' needs with a strong focus on automation. You will work collaboratively with developers and IT operations teams to ensure that software development and cloud infrastructures are aligned with established processes and functioning effectively. This position is hybrid, offering the flexibility of working remotely on Mondays and Fridays, with on-site work required Tuesday through Thursday, reporting to our headquarters in Austin, TX, or Somerset, NJ. Role Description Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Monitor system performance and manage source code, ensuring accuracy in operations reports. Ensure systems remain updated, compliant with standards, and secure against cyber threats. Develop and maintain tailored on-premises tooling solutions. Automate processes to boost development efficiency and results. Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive measures. Collaborate with development teams to smoothly integrate new software features. Oversee the integration of AWS and Azure services into our existing framework. Ensure that software development adheres to best practices and established processes. Skill Level Requirements Intermediate knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud Platforms and their services. Intermediate expertise in project management frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum for effective project planning and execution. Intermediate understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs), security concepts (access control, authentication, encryption), and managing network security solutions (intrusion detection systems, firewalls, threat management). Intermediate proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git and Azure DevOps. Intermediate experience managing and maintaining Active Directory, AWS, VMware, and Windows Server platforms. Intermediate ability with tools like Jenkins, Groovy, Terraform, Splunk, Git, CodeCommit, and/or SonarSource for both development and operational processes. Intermediate ability to design, develop, and integrate APIs for seamless software application communication. Other Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer. 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud platforms. Strong background in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Expertise in CI/CD tools, particularly with GitHub and GitHub Actions. Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash Shell, PowerShell, Groovy, and Python. Experience with C# and Microsoft technologies. Demonstrated ability to deploy solutions in large-scale enterprise environments. #LI-LR1 The estimated annual pay range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000. Compensation is influenced by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location, varying from individual to individual.
