Project Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. As a Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create precise estimates and manage project data effectively.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather relevant data for estimating purposes.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and present them to clients or stakeholders as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and methods to enhance estimating accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating or related field, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
• Proficient in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for cost estimation and project management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications accurately.
• Excellent negotiation skills with experience in contract management.
• Familiarity with cost control measures and budgeting processes within construction projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, contractors, and team members.
