SUMMARY:

Soliel is seeking to hire a Senior Cloud Engineer. This position provides critical skills as part of a team to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud. The ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of cloud automation, ensuring cloud solutions are scalable and resilient cloud design principles.

This role is part of a team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud, building and managing production systems using infrastructure as code (Terraform), with a strong emphasis on automation, scalability, resiliency, and security best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing cloud requirements analysis, design, and implementation
• Building and managing production systems using infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Designing and implementing scalable software services alongside architecture and engineering teams
• Ensuring system security using best-in-class cloud security solutions
• Implementing CI/CD pipelines where needed
• Recommending process and architecture improvements
• Troubleshooting system and application issues across platforms

The ideal candidate would have:

• A Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
• 8+ years of experience designing and building web environments in AWS GovCloud
• Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, SQS, API Gateway, ECS, Fargate, and Lambda
• Experience building cloud-native, highly available production systems
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes and/or Fargate)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus
• Hands-on experience with Terraform

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in Linux/Unix server system administration

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools such as Ansible and Chef.
