Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position as a School Bus Driver based in Holden, ME. The School Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities. Daily tasks include conducting pre-trip inspections of the bus, adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards, assisting students as needed, and maintaining clear communication with school staff and parents on transportation-related matters. Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all passengers is a key focus of this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in School Bus Driving and possession of a valid CDL Class B license with the proper endorsements.
• Knowledge of Defensive Driving techniques to ensure safety at all times
• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and school staff
• Ability to maintain a clean driving record and follow traffic laws consistently
• Attention to safety protocols and ability to handle emergency situations
• Previous school transportation or similar experience is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
