About

A working Production Supervisor is responsible for consistent operations by working in and coordinating

the daily operations of manufacturing to ensure efficiency, quality, and teamwork. Collaboration is a big

part of this role, as you will work with team members, logistics, suppliers, finance, and senior leadership to

align production goals with overall business objectives.

Supervisor
:

  • Oversee the daily production/sanitation process to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Oversee staff, train, and assign responsibilities to team members
  • Collaborate with Management to ensure materials are available
  • Monitor equipment and collaborate with maintenance department
  • Implement health and safety regulations on the production floor
  • Track progress with reports and communicate with senior management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Operations
:

  • Dry various products through plant to meet all company and customer requirements
  • Setup of equipment, start-up and shutdowns, troubleshooting as needed, paperwork, sanitation including mixing food safe chemicals, and quality checks. Control the dryer functions and entire drying process to ensure that product is in specification and meets all company and customer standards
  • Inspect all products, raw and finished, for use according to quality specifications and communicate any discrepancies to Quality Operations Manager
  • Properly sample product to verify quality, moisture, color, and/or lab testing
  • Collaborate with all employees on performance and continuous improvement of daily operations to determine optimum efficiencies and conditions by communicating verbally with employees at shift change and throughout the shift
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HAACP Programs, and safety requirements
  • Able to move various types of products by use of multiple types of powered industrial equipment
  • Other duties assigned by Management

Job Requirements
:

  • 3 5 years of supervisory manufacturing experience in a food production environment is required.
  • Proven track record of meeting production goals and quality standards. Experience leading cross -functional teams.
  • Exposure to process improvement initiatives.
  • Works under minimal supervision.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to climb or balance, regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, high, and precarious places.
  • Team Members who hold these positions must be willing to work in either cold, damp or hot, humid, and/or noisy environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Perform additional various tasks as delegated by Management.
  • Position will require four 10-hour shifts, voluntary/required overtime.
