We're looking for a General Manager who leads with empathy, sets the tone by example, and brings both operational excellence and heart to the floor.

The Role

The General Manager oversees the daily operations with a strong focus on team leadership, guest experience, and stewardship of our wine program. This role is ideal for someone who loves being on the floor, building community, and guiding a team with positivity and respect.

You'll be responsible for maintaining smooth operations, developing the wine program, supporting financial goals, and maintaining a positive and warm environment..

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and retain a strong front-of-house team
  • Foster a safe, welcoming, and collaborative work environment rooted in active listening and mutual respect
  • Set the standard for warm, thoughtful hospitality and guest engagement which translates to repeat guests and a positive environment

Guest Experience

  • Ensure every guest feels welcomed, valued, and well cared for
  • Address guest concerns promptly and thoughtfully with a guest-first perspective that sets the tone for the entire team
  • Maintain a consistent, high-quality experience on all shifts

Wine Program

  • Curate, maintain, and grow a wine program focused on natural, biodynamic, and organic wines
  • Manage wine inventory, ordering, rotation, and vendor relationships
  • Train staff on wine knowledge, service, and storytelling

Operations & Financial Management

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Monitor labor, food, and beverage costs to meet weekly and monthly budgets
  • Handle daily reports, cash management, and deposits

Scheduling & Payroll

  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage per shift and optimize labor costs
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll reporting
  • Prepare tip pool calculations and coordinate weekly tip and hourly payroll distributions

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Maintain current staff files, permits, and required documentation
  • Hold and maintain TABC and Texas Food Handlers Licenses

Events & Promotions

  • Coordinate and execute special events and private bookings in collaboration with onsite and management teams
  • Support marketing initiatives, wine events, and promotions that build community and drive traffic

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of restaurant management experience
  • Strong knowledge of natural, biodynamic, and organic wines or a deep passion to continue learning
  • Proven ability to lead teams with empathy, accountability, and positivity
  • Financial and operational reporting accuracy
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on, floor-focused leadership style

Pay: $65, $85,000.00 per year
