Executive Chef - Cruise

We are recruiting on behalf of a major cruise company who are looking for Executive Chefs to join the ever growing team.

As Executive Chef you will be responsible for overseeing the entire Culinary Arts operation on-board. Leading a large team of hardworking Culinary professionals the Executive chef is responsible for directing all food preparation and meal services aboard the ship, ensuring consistency, quality, cost effectiveness, and the highest level of sanitation are maintained, all in keeping with company and USPH standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily galley operations and ensure food quality across all outlets (main galley, specialty restaurants, buffet).
• Maintain compliance with public health standards (e.g., USPH), sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Lead pre-service inspections, tastings, and ensure timely food preparation and service.
• Monitor food cost, inventory, and staffing to achieve financial and operational targets.
• Resolve guest concerns and engage with passengers during service periods.
• Develop, coach, and evaluate culinary staff to maintain high performance and morale.
• Promote brand culture, standards, and leadership principles onboard.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of executive chef experience in upscale hospitality or cruise environment.
• Proven track record in food quality, leadership, cost control, and guest satisfaction.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and computer skills.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
