Manager in Training (MIT) – Auntie Anne's

The Manager in Training (MIT) at Auntie Anne's is responsible for learning all aspects of pretzel shop operations while developing leadership and management skills. This role prepares team members for advancement into an Assistant Manager or General Manager position by providing hands-on training in guest service, pretzel production, team leadership, and store operations. The MIT plays a key role in delivering the warm, friendly experience Auntie Anne's is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Brand Standards

  • Deliver exceptional guest service with a friendly, welcoming attitude
  • Ensure all pretzels and beverages meet Auntie Anne's quality and freshness standards
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting shop environment

Operations & Pretzel Production

  • Learn and execute Auntie Anne's pretzel-making process and food preparation standards
  • Assist in opening and closing procedures
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines at all times
  • Support inventory control, ordering, and waste reduction

Team Leadership & Training

  • Assist in supervising and motivating team members
  • Help train new associates on pretzel production, guest service, and safety procedures
  • Lead by example to promote teamwork, accountability, and positive energy

Financial & Administrative Duties

  • Learn cash handling, POS systems, and daily sales reporting
  • Assist with scheduling and labor management
  • Support management with operational and administrative tasks

Training & Development

  • Complete all required Auntie Anne's training programs
  • Shadow store leadership to gain management experience
  • Demonstrate readiness for promotion through performance, reliability, and leadership growth

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous QSR, food service, or retail experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and leadership potential
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Passion for guest service and willingness to learn

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
