We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory. This role is crucial to the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center, ensuring timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy. You will be a key player in our warehouse operations, contributing to the smooth running of our logistics network. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers efficiently.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order and report any defects.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
