About
Our Columbus, Ohio facility is seeking a qualified and safety-minded Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move products to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. A thorough understanding of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance is essential. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. This is a critical position that ensures the smooth functioning of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport goods.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move products to and from storage locations, ensuring proper placement.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with inventory control and stock management.
- Properly secure loads for transport.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Experience with various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to adhere to PPE requirements.
