We are looking for a diligent Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be essential to the smooth operation of our distribution network, handling a variety of tasks that keep our logistics moving. This includes receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and preparing goods for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Stock merchandise accurately into designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders with precision and efficiency.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (certification may be required for certain equipment).
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse floor and storage areas.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Respond to and resolve any discrepancies in inventory or orders.
- Utilize RF scanners for inventory tracking and order management.
- Wear provided PPE at all times while on the warehouse floor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Proven ability to operate warehouse machinery safely and effectively.
- Must be able to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
