We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. The Order Picker will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. This role is crucial to our daily operations and requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to workplace safety. You will be working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or damages immediately to supervision.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is a plus.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Excellent understanding of logistics operations and warehouse procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
