Join our dynamic team in Atlanta, Georgia, as an Order Picker! We are seeking motivated individuals to accurately fulfill customer orders within our fast-paced distribution center. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves, ensuring order accuracy and timely preparation for shipment. This role is a critical component of our logistics operations, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. You must be detail-oriented, efficient, and physically capable of performing tasks that involve regular lifting and standing. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order specifications using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items for accuracy, ensuring the correct product and quantity.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Meet or exceed established picking performance targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Handle the physical demands of the job, including walking, standing, and lifting items up to 40 lbs.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Understand and follow instructions precisely.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Report any damaged items or discrepancies immediately.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals.
- Ensure all actions contribute to maintaining high standards of operational safety .
- Wear and maintain all required PPE throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. High school diploma or GED. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Capability to perform frequent lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good time management and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles is beneficial. Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the use of PPE . Must be reliable and punctual.
