We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our busy warehouse in Madison, Wisconsin. This vital role involves safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to OSHA standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any hazards or safety concerns within the warehouse.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may involve lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety vest and steel-toed boots.
