Seeking a meticulous Order Picker to join our bustling warehouse in San Francisco, California. As an Order Picker, you'll be the backbone of our fulfillment process, ensuring that customers receive exactly what they ordered, accurately and efficiently. Your role involves navigating the warehouse to locate and retrieve specific items based on order tickets. This position demands exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the physical stamina to perform tasks that require frequent movement and lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and retrieve items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or electronic scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package selected items securely for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or damaged goods to a supervisor.
- Assist with stock rotation and put-away tasks as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks or other lifting devices as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet established picking speed and accuracy targets.
- Contribute to a positive and productive warehouse atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capacity for frequent bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
Working Conditions:
This role is primarily performed in a warehouse environment where conditions can vary. Employees will be on their feet for the majority of their shift, involving frequent movement and occasional lifting. Adherence to safety standards, including wearing the designated PPE, is essential for this role.
