Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to transport, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently, ensuring accurate product counts and damage-free handling.
- Move inventory to and from designated storage areas, maintaining organized and safe rack locations.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and put-away verification.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE, such as safety shoes, vests, and hard hats when necessary.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure efficient logistics flow.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall operational needs.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating multiple types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operation and material handling techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and working in various temperature conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings to prevent accidents.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to work standards.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics operations is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
