This role is essential to supporting customers, processing orders, and maintaining strong relationships through clear communication and follow-through.

Position Overview:
The Customer Service Representative handles inbound and outbound customer communications, supports telephone-based sales efforts, and manages order processing from start to finish. This individual serves as a key point of contact for customers, dealers, and internal teams, ensuring customer needs are addressed promptly and accurately.

The role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of customer requests through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Communication and Sales Support

  • Handle inbound and outbound customer calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Conduct telephone selling presentations as trained
  • Engage in open, conversational discussions with customers, dealers, and prospects
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions
  • Apply product knowledge to answer questions, support decision-making, and identify upsell opportunities

Order Processing and Coordination

  • Enter customer orders accurately into internal systems
  • Communicate pricing, shipping timelines, and any anticipated delays
  • Route orders to appropriate internal departments for fulfillment
  • Follow up on orders to ensure delivery meets customer expectations
  • Estimate delivery timelines based on production and shipping schedules

Problem Resolution and Follow-Through

  • Take ownership of customer inquiries and order-related requests from start to finish
  • Coordinate with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, and engineering teams as needed
  • Assist with returned merchandise requests and follow-up
  • Address customer concerns or complaints and escalate when appropriate

Documentation and Accuracy

  • Maintain accurate and complete order documentation
  • Follow established policies and procedures
  • Ensure accuracy in all customer and order-related records

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with regional trade shows when assigned
  • Support a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two or more years of customer service, inside sales, or call-based experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills
  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational abilities
  • Basic math skills including calculations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to interpret instructions and solve routine problems
