Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing client cases, ensuring that all legal documentation is accurate and up to date. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of tort law. The Case Manager will work closely with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective case management and support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of clients, providing support and guidance throughout the legal process.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to assist in case preparation and strategy development.
  • Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date client files and documentation.
  • Ensure all contracts are properly filed and organized for easy access by the legal team.
  • Exhibit strong phone etiquette when communicating with clients, attorneys, and other professionals.
  • Conduct document reviews to identify key information relevant to ongoing cases.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for hearings or trials.
  • Prepare, draft, and file litigation documents, including but not limited to:
  • Complaints, Answers, and Affirmative Defenses
  • Motions, Notices, and Proposed Orders
  • Discovery (Interrogatories, Requests for Production, Requests for Admissions)
  • Subpoenas and Summonses
  • E-file pleadings and other documents with Florida state courts and applicable federal courts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in case management or legal support.
  • Familiarity with tort law is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in legal research, proofreading, data entry, clerical tasks, and document review.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
